Mom and I arrived in San Angelo this afternoon -- had a lovely drive. Mom hasn't been here in 3 years and was very interested in seeing how things had changed from when we lived here years and years ago. This is where I started school and went through my Sophomore year in high school. Interesting to see how things change.
We will do some visiting tomorrow and then Thursday evening we are going to a "Golden Oldies" get-together at Uncle's church -- it will be a fish fry and games. Yum, yum, and fun, fun, fun!
We will leave Friday morning to go back to Austin.

Sophomore year at school Anita. What's that then??
Good morning, Doug,
The American school system may be different from what you have there.
We start with Kindergarten, then have 1st through 5th or 6th grades which are known as elementary school. 6th or 7th through 8th are Middle School (It used to be Jr. High.) High school starts at
9th grade, which is Freshman year, 10th grade, which is Sophomore year, 11th grade, which is Junion year, and then 12th grade, which is Senior year. At that point one graduates and goes to college.
I stayed in San Angelo schools through 10th grade, then we moved to a little town named Ft. Stockton and there I completed my 11th and 12th grades and then graduated. I did not go to college.
Glad you are having a nice trip with your mom, Anita.
