These are the blocks I'm working with at this time. I asked for donations of black/white scraps and one woman gave me a ton of strips. They didn't suit my original plan but I didn't want to waste them so I sewed them together in a split rail design. I'm using a black batik -- very subtle -- as sashing and borders. I only have the bottom row sewn. Life got very hectic over the weekend.
