Good morning,
I slept wonderfully well last night! Now that I'm off the steroids I will finally get some sleep.
I posted a picture of some peppers -- because Doug is going to say, "what are poblano chilies?"
The two on the left and right of the picture are bell peppers -- eaten raw or sauted or stuffed. The other 4 are poblano chilies. They have pointed bottoms and don't stand like it appears they do in the picture. The poblano chilies can be mild or hot in flavor. We roast them in the oven, slit them open, clean out the seeds and membrane, and then stuff them full of cooked and chopped chicken, (other meats can be used but we stick with chicken.)
cover them with cheese, and return to the oven to melt the cheese. They are really good.
In our previous life we usually ate long green chilies but here the poblano is king so we have learned to cook and eat them.
Stuffed poblano chilies are the memu for tonight's dinner. Sure will be good -- want to join us?

I'd only be able to eat them if they are mild ones. LOL
You're right Anita, I would have asked!!
Wendy says we have the bell peppers but not the others. We eat them with salads, roasted or with pastas or curries.
Still no baby donkey!
We've just finished the inaugural meeting of the organising committee of the Skeheenarinky Flower and Vegetable Show! We are now eating some zucchini cake Karol made and brought over for us to try out. Delicious!!!
Anita, we love this peppers cooked with others.... Hubby and me have just browsing at http://sunflowerquilts.blogspot.com/ and saw the real plant (we have not seen any before). Now I was was wondering what is the diff. between peppers and capsicum (not sure of the spelling)?
My favorite is Chili Rellanos and I order it every time we go to a good Mexican restaurant...I think they use Ortega chilies...stuffed with white cheese, breaded and fried..so good....hope you are feeling better
Hi, found your comment on my blog.....thanks for stopping by! We love green chili peppers that look like the peppers you have posted about. We make stuff them with hamburger and chedder cheese and pour green chili sauce over them. You asked on my blog if we stayed to watch the bats fly out of Carlsbad Caverns. Yes, we have done that before and it is always something to see. Just loved visiting here! blessings,Kathleen
