This quilt was interesting -- at a family reunion each attendee traced the outline of his/her hand with name and a message in the middle. Then the quilt maker spent quite a bit of time , perhaps a year, embroidering around the hand and adding the messages. Not as attractive as some quilts but quite a memory-maker and priceless from a family history standpoint.

That quilt is darling! I love how she added the ribbons to brighten it up! Lots of work there. Really a treasure!
