We had a lovely weekend -- it was great to be back at church. I had missed my Pastor and my church family!

Sunday night we went to "Family Game Night" at church -- had a really good time. We played Chicken Foot and then learned a new game, Swap. It seems to be a cross between "Slap Jack" and Uno. It was nice just sitting and playing and laughing with friends.

Friday night we went to a Farewell party for a family in our church -- the father is a Lay-Pastor and has accepted a call to a little Baptist church on High Island. They will move to the parsonage there. We hated to lose this family, but can't ask them to stay if they are being called somewhere else. Going to be hard for their kids -- not many teens on High Island. The mother of this family died a couple of years ago so it will be Dad and the two girls. The brother is in college.

My Mom called to tell me that the puppy she was going to get died. The neighbor lost her entire litter of puppies to Parvovirus. So sad. We need to find my Mom another puppy/dog. She really enjoys the company they are to her.

This week is VBS at a nearby church. I am taking my granddaughter -- we missed going to the one at our church since I was still out of town. She's having fun.
