My March project!

Juvenile print on the back.
Block detail.

It is finally finished. I saw this pattern on a quilt at Barb's Quilt Nook in Kingsland, TX. (I don't know the name of the pattern.) I liked the design and decided that I would make one like it. It took a long time -- first of all, using all 2-1/2 inch blocks was difficult. If you get off just a little bit that little bit seems to grow and grow. Before long it is crowding the other blocks and you have a mess on your hands.
(Sounds like our lives -- if we stray just a little, and don't correct immediately, our lives are soon out of whack!)
I have finished several quilts during the time this was hanging around, waiting. I was almost dreading it. But, encouraged by the challenge of completing our UFO's -- at least one a month -- I got it out and stayed with it until it was done. A nice feeling.
Since this is a donated quilt, and will be used in a layette, I put a juvenile print on the back. I don't think the front looks very babyish.
Anyway, here it is, my March UFO completion!
April's quilt is well underway -- it is to be a baby gift!
